Bengaluru Bulls’ star all-rounder Nitin Rawal has emerged as one of the consistent performers in the Pro Kabaddi League.

Since making his Pro Kabaddi debut in Season 5, Nitin Rawal has showcased his versatility by contributing significantly on both ends of the mat.

Considered to be one of the top left corner defenders in the league, the 28-year-old has accumulated 167 tackle points in 103 matches, including 18 Super Tackles and 8 High 5s in his PKL career.

Apart from his defensive prowess, Nitin possesses brilliant raiding skills and has already amassed 144 raid points. He has also contributed with 7 Super Raids and 2 Super 10s so far.

Family convinced him to take up Kabaddi as a sport

Born on April 4, 1996 in Baapauli village of Panipat district in Haryana, Nitin began playing cricket as a youngster before his family encouraged him to take up kabaddi as a sport.

Pro Kabaddi breakthrough

Nitin rose to prominence after he made his Pro Kabaddi debut for Jaipur Pink Panthers in 2017. Having hogged the limelight with his outstanding all-round performances, he immediately became a household name in Season 5. Nitin finished the season as one of the leading all-rounders in the league with 65 raid points and 20 tackle points.

After spending four years with the Panthers, Nitin joined Haryana Steelers after they acquired him at the PKL 2022 Auction for INR 37.5 lakh. While the Steelers missed the PKL Season 9 playoffs by a whisker, he ended the campaign with 35 tackle points and nine raid points.

Winning Gold at the 2022 Asian Games

Later in 2023, Nitin was part of the Indian team that won the coveted gold medal at the 2022 Asian Games by beating Iran 33-29 in the final.

However, the accomplished all-rounder later suffered a massive setback as he was ruled out of the Pro Kabaddi Season 10 due to a knee injury.

After recovering from his injury, Nitin bounced back in style in the following edition as Bengaluru Bulls acquired his services at the Pro Kabaddi Season 11 Player Auction for INR 13 lakh. He repaid their faith with some incredible performances to conclude the season with 74 tackle points and two raid points.

Now an established all-rounder in PKL, Nitin is likely to go from strength to strength as he aims to cement his legacy in the league.
