The penultimate leg of the Season 7 league-stage campaign in Panchkula saw three more teams book their berth in the vivo Pro Kabaddi Season 7 playoffs, leaving just one spot in contention ahead of the Greater Noida leg. The week saw a few high-scoring contests and some incredible individual performances, much to the delight of all those in attendance at the Tau Devilal Sports Complex. While there were plenty of great moments to choose from, here are the five stand-out moments from the Panchkula leg:

1. Sehrawat storms into the record books with 39 points

Pawan Sehrawat scored, a league record, 39 raid points against Haryana Steelers.

After inflicting an early All Out against Bengaluru Bulls in Match 118, Haryana Steelers were seemingly in control of proceedings. However, ‘Hi-Flyer’ Pawan Sehrawat had other ideas. The reigning MVP scored point after point and conjured up 19 straight successful raids to put his team on top in the contest. Sehrawat, though, wasn’t finished and embarked on another run of 13 successful raids on the trot to finish with 39 raid points and set a new vivo Pro Kabaddi record for most points by a raider in a single game, surpassing ‘Record-Breaker’ Pardeep Narwal’s mark of 34 that he set against the same opponent in Season 5.

2. Naveen becomes quickest to 400 Raid Points

Naveen Kumar reached 400 points in just his 41st appearance in vivo Pro Kabaddi.

Dabang Delhi K.C.’s Naveen Kumar continued his unprecedented streak of Super 10s, adding two more to the tally to make it 18 straight matches with at least 10 raid points and while doing so, the youngster added a couple of more accolades to his name. With his seventh raid point of the night against Puneri Paltan in his team’s 60-40 victory, Naveen reached the 400-raid point mark in vivo Pro Kabaddi in just his 41st appearance in the league.

3. Chaudhari joins the 1000 Club

Rahul Chaudhari becomes the second man to score 1000 points in vivo Pro Kabaddi.

The season may not have gone as planned for ‘Showman’ Rahul Chaudhari, but that hasn’t stopped the legendary raider from continuing to create history in vivo Pro Kabaddi. Against Gujarat Fortunegiants in Match 112, Chaudhari picked up a bonus point and became just the second man, after ‘Record-Breaker’ Pardeep Narwal, to score 1000 total points in vivo Pro Kabaddi.

4. Telugu Titans and Puneri Paltan deliver a historic score fest

Puneri Paltan’s Sushant Sail hurdles over two Telugu Titans defenders for a Super Raid.

Match 119 between Telugu Titans and Puneri Paltan, which the latter won 53-50, was one for the ages, as the two teams combined to score 103 points, breaking the previous record of 101 set in a match between Patna Pirates and Delhi Dabang K.C. all the way back in Season 3. The game had three Super Raid, three Super Tackles, five All Outs and, astonishingly, just five Do-or-die raids. Puneri Paltan were also involved in another high-scoring affair in their previous encounter against Bengaluru Bulls, which finished 60-40 in the favour of the reigning champions.

5. A record-breaking raiding trio

Pardeep Narwal, Pawan Sehrawat and Naveen have all scored over 250 raid points this season.

The battle for the Best Raider Award is entering its final phase and the trio of Sehrawat, Pardeep and Naveen have given fans a season full of high-quality raiding and unbelievable performances. All three raiders crossed the 250-raid point mark over the past week, making Season 7 the first vivo Pro Kabaddi campaign where more than one raider, let alone three, have achieved that feat. While Sehrawat’s 39-point effort has helped him pull away on the leaderboard, one cannot count out Naveen or Pardeep from emulating the Hi-Flyer in one of their two upcoming matches.
