Fazel Atrachali will look to become the first foreign defender with 300 tackle points

Fazel Atrachali, over the years, has not only established himself as one of the best foreign defenders in VIVO Pro Kabaddi but also as one of its most coveted stars. The Iranian has been a serial winner, exuding class on the mat and has displayed impeccable courage with his hard-hitting tackling style.

With two VIVO Pro Kabaddi winners medals under his belt, (U Mumba in Season 2 and Patna Pirates in Season 4), Fazel is one of the few players to have won the title with two different teams. He was also adjudged the VIVO Pro Kabaddi Best Defender in Season 4 after he topped the tackle points chart with 52 points.

The ace defender has amassed 235 tackle points in 79 matches in his VIVO Pro Kabaddi career, and currently stands fifth in the list of all-time top tackle points scorers. The 27-year-old is a master of the Left Corner position and rules over his zone with absolute authority. While he is known for his blocks and for making good use of his physical strength, Fazel is also extremely adept at technical defensive moves like the Ankle Hold, the Thigh Hold and the Dash.

Perhaps what sets him apart from most players is his fearless nature on the mat. There's nothing 'defensive' about the way Fazel defends as he is known to take the fight to the raiders, often charging at them rather than the other way around. With his all-conquering mentality, the Iranian will be eyeing another successful campaign in VIVO Pro Kabaddi Season 7 for himself as well as his team.
