The corner defenders are one of the most important pairings in a Pro Kabaddi team. Corner duos are especially crucial to a team because they are the ones who must be in sync with each other while attempting tackles. It is pivotal for the right and left corner to work together as a mistimed tackle can in turn lead to the others falling prey to the raiders and giving away multiple points.

With that in mind, here’s a closer look at some of the best corner duos that featured in Pro Kabaddi Season 11.

Mohammadreza Shadloui and Rahul Sethpal - Haryana Steelers

Mohammadreza Shadloui and Rahul Sethpal were by far the best corner combination in Pro Kabaddi Season 11. Shadloui and Sethpal scored 155 tackle points between them and was one of the reasons that helped Haryana Steelers clinch their maiden PKL title in Season 11. With 82 tackle points and 57 raid points, Shadloui bagged the well-deserved title of Most Valuable Player (MVP) while Sethpal finished the campaign with 73 tackle points.

Hitesh and Sumit Sangwan - UP Yoddhas

UP Yoddhas’ Hitesh and Sumit Sangwan were the next best corner pairing in Season 11 after Shadloui and Sethpal. Right corner Hitesh was one of the standout defenders in the recently concluded season with 74 tackle points. Hitesh was well supported by Sumit in the opposite corner as he contributed with 72 tackle points. The Yoddhas’ corner duo combined for 146 tackle points, 16 Super Tackles and 11 High 5s.

Ankit Jaglan and Shubham Shinde - Patna Pirates

Patna Pirates’ Ankit Jaglan and Shubham Shinde were one of the best corner duos in Pro Kabaddi Season 11. All-rounder Ankit finished second on the tackle points leaderboard with 79 tackle points, while right corner Shubham finished with 56 tackle points. Apart from scoring 135 tackle points between them, they combined for 13 Super Tackles and eight High 5s in Season 11.

Nitesh Kumar and Amir Hossein Bastami - Tamil Thalaivas

Tamil Thalaivas’ corner duo of Nitesh Kumar and Amir Hossein Bastami feature next on the list. Nitesh Kumar was the standout player for the Thalaivas after finishing as the third-highest scoring defender in Season 11 with 77 tackle points. His corner partner, Amir Hossein Bastami, managed 49 tackle points. Nitesh and Amir combined for 126 tackle points to go along with their six Super Tackles and nine High 5s as a pair.

Yogesh Bijender Dahiya and Ashish Sahdev Malik - Dabang Delhi K.C.

Dabang Delhi K.C.’s Yogesh and Ashish complete the top five list of best corner duos of Pro Kabaddi Season 11. Having emerged as a formidable corner partnership with 122 tackle points collectively last season, the pair once again played a pivotal role in Season 11. Yogesh finished fourth on the tackle points leaderboard with 75 tackle points while Ashish contributed with 46 tackle points. They combined for a total of 121 tackle points, 11 Super Tackles and seven High 5s in Season 11.
