Patna Pirates’ duo of Devank, Ayan headline list of top raiding duos of PKL Season 11

The Pro Kabaddi Season 11 witnessed a mix of young and experienced raiders play a crucial role for their respective teams. While some raiders single-handedly took away games from the opposition, others forged a formidable partnership with their teammate to emerge as dominant raiding duos for the various franchises. With that in mind, let's have a look at the top five raiding duos of PKL 11.

Devank and Ayan Lohchab - Patna Pirates

Patna Pirates’ rising stars Devank and Ayan produced some raiding magic in Pro Kabaddi Season 11. Devank rose to prominence after he scored 25 raid points in a single game to help Patna Pirates pull off a comeback victory against Tamil Thalaivas in the recently concluded season. Having accumulated 301 raid points in 25 matches, Devank bagged the coveted Best Raider award for his outstanding performances. Debutant Ayan also hogged the limelight after he earned the coveted New Young Player award for his brilliant campaign. The youngster concluded the season with 184 raid points in 25 matches. The duo of Devank and Ayan amassed 485 raid points together, making them the best raiding duo of PKL Season 11.

Ashu Malik and Naveen Kumar - Dabang Delhi K.C.

Ashu Malik has been one of the top raiders in Pro Kabaddi over the last two campaigns. Having finished PKL Season 10 as the campaign’s joint highest-scoring raider (276) with Arjun Deshwal, Ashu Malik continued his fine form in Season 11. With 262 raid points in 23 matches, the young raider finished only behind Devank (301) in the PKL Season 11 list of most raid points. Meanwhile, Dabang Delhi K.C.’s experienced raider Naveen Kumar supported Ashu in Season 11 by scoring 97 raid points in 16 matches. This dynamic duo was outstanding on the mat throughout the season and scored 359 raid points together.

Vinay and Shivam Anil Patare - Haryana Steelers

The raiding pair of Vinay and Shivam Anil Patare played a pivotal role in guiding Haryana Steelers to their maiden PKL triumph in Season 11. Vinay and Shivam produced consistent performances throughout the season as both finished among the top 10 raid point scorers. Vinay concluded the title-winning campaign with 164 raid points in 24 matches. With his exceptional raiding skills, Vinay was also one of the standout performers in the PKL Season 11 final as the Steelers beat the Pirates 32-23 to clinch the coveted title. Left raider Shivam wasn’t too far behind and contributed with 158 raid points as the duo accumulated 322 raid points in the successful campaign for the Steelers.

Bhavani Rajput and Gagan Raju Gowda - UP Yoddhas

UP Yoddhas’ Bhavani Rajput and Gagan Raju Gowda emerged as one of the best raiding duos of PKL Season 11. Bhavani and Gagan performed consistently to help the Yoddhas qualify for the PKL 11 Playoffs as they finished third in the standings. With 151 raid points in 22 matches, Bhavani finished the campaign as the leading raider for the Yoddhas. He was well supported by Gagan Gowda, who lived up to his billing by scoring 145 raid points in just his second PKL season. This energetic pair produced 296 raid points for the Yoddhas in PKL Season 11.

Ajit Ramesh Chouhan and Manjeet Dahiya - U Mumba

Ajit Ramesh Chouhan and Manjeet Dahiya played a vital role as U Mumba qualified for the Pro Kabaddi Playoffs after three seasons. PKL Season 2 champions U Mumba unearthed a gem in Ajit Chouhan as the debutant grabbed the spotlight with his brilliant performances throughout the season. The 19-year-old left raider was the standout player for U Mumba in Season 11 as he concluded the campaign with 185 raid points in 23 matches. Meanwhile, the teenager was ably supported in attack by experienced raider Manjeet Dahiya, who managed 97 raid points in PKL 11. Ajit and Manjeet played to each other's strengths as they accumulated 282 raid points to guide their side to the PKL 11 Playoffs.
