TOP CONTESTS OF THE WEEK

U.P. Yoddhas beat Bengaluru Bulls 34-33 (Match 46)

A clinical performance saw the Yoddhas inflict a second All-Out on the Bulls to take a 33-26 lead with three minutes to go. Pardeep Narwal wrapped up a Super 10 with a minute of the game remaining, but the Bulls refused to give up, and came close to registering an all-important All-Out in the dying seconds. As it was though, raider Sushil couldn't get both the Yoddhas players out to leave the Bulls short by one point.

Bengaluru Bulls beat Tamil Thalaivas 38-37 (Match 50)

Despite the resilience of the Thalaivas, with Narender getting a brilliant Super 10 and ending with 12 points in total, it was Bengaluru Bulls who eventually prevailed in the 'Semma' South Indian derby. Bharat's 9 raid points, coupled with some excellent defending from his teammates against the likes of Narender and Ajinkya Pawar, ensured that the Bengaluru-based team entered the new year on a high.

Patna Pirates beat U.P. Yoddhas 48-41 (Match 52)

Patna Pirates continued their winning form with another victory as they beat home side U.P. Yoddhas 48-41. The plaudits fell to the lap of raider Sachin and his brilliant Super 10 - in addition to his two tackle points - as well as their skipper Neeraj Kumar's High 5, which was enough to take his team to victory despite a fighting season-best 21 points from league legend and U.P. Yoddhas skipper Pardeep Narwal against his former team.
