The passionate fans of Jaipur Pink Panthers and U Mumba have often fueled the rivalry between these two teams in the Pro Kabaddi League. Jaipur Pink Panthers have been crowned champions twice, in Season 1 and Season 9, while U Mumba lifted the trophy in the second PKL edition. Both teams have had nail-biting encounters in the tournament, with Jaipur Pink Panthers winning 11 times and U Mumba winning 10 times in PKL history. Two matches ended in a tie.

Season 4, Match 2:

Match 2 of PKL Season 4 was an edge-of-the-seat thriller between Jaipur Pink Panthers and U Mumba. Both teams started cautiously, with U Mumba taking a slender lead early on. The Panthers gained momentum before the end of the first half, but U Mumba, with their brilliant raiding, managed to lead by eight points with two men left on the court.

In the second half, Jaipur Pink Panthers made a brilliant comeback, thanks to effective raiding from star raider Shabeer Bappu. Led by Jasvir Singh, the Panthers not only levelled the scores but also inflicted an All-Out, taking the lead with 10 minutes remaining. Jaipur maintained their lead until the dying moments. However, U Mumba pushed back, levelling the score and then forcing an All-Out to win the game 36-34.

Season 6, Match 114:

In PKL Season 6, Match 114 was a do-or-die match for Jaipur Pink Panthers, who needed a win against U Mumba to stay alive in the competition. U Mumba started positively, leading by five points in the first 10 minutes. The Panthers kept the scoreboard moving, preventing U Mumba from extending their lead. U Mumba stayed ahead by two points at halftime.

The Panthers took the lead early in the second half with an All-Out. Forced errors from U Mumba helped the Panthers maintain their lead. Siddharth Desai and Deepak Hooda led the scoring for their sides. The Panthers tried to burn time on the mat, holding a sizeable lead. However, U Mumba fought back, inflicting an All-Out to take the lead. The game was a see-saw battle, ending in a 35-35 tie.

Season 10, Match 74:

In Match 74 of PKL Season 10, Jaipur Pink Panthers edged past U Mumba 31-29. U Mumba maintained a marginal lead over the two-time champions. Arjun Deshwal scored six raid points in the first half, while U Mumba’s Guman Singh and Amirmohammad Zafardanesh earned four raid points each, keeping their side ahead by one point at halftime.

V Ajith Kumar produced a Super Raid, sending Rinku, Surinder Singh, and Mukilan Shanmugam to the bench, giving the Panthers the lead. However, U Mumba made a comeback by picking up bonus points, levelling the score at 25 with less than eight minutes left. The Panthers held their nerve, clinching a nail-biting thriller 31-29.
