Telugu Titans' fans would have had huge expectations from their favourite team ahead of their first VIVO Pro Kabaddi Season 5 match against debutants Tamil Thalaivas. And one can now safely say that the Titans did not disappoint in light of their 32-27 win at home in Hyderabad. They took an early lead through their star Rahul ‘Raid Machine’ Chaudhari but their defence still had to come good. That responsibility was taken up by youngster Vishal Bhardwaj, who scored the first High 5 of the season.

In earlier seasons, the Titans were thought to be a side that excelled at attack but lacked in defence. This time around, the top raiding side was looking to improve in the defence aspect, and if the first game is anything to go by they are well on their way.

Playing in just his third Pro Kabaddi match, 20-year-old Bhardwaj showed no signs of nerves as he took the Ajay Thakur-led side's raiders head on and came out on top. He held one end up as raiders Chaudhari and Nilesh Salunke took out a weak opposition defence. This young talent is definitely one to watch out for in the future.
